Martin,
Loving the updates !!
is it possible to have the clock count up to 90:00 ?
Also to have control over start time such as 45:00 then stop at 90:00 ?
Soccer is the only sport that uses this wacky clock/
Thanks

Hi Martin,
Thanks for the "+=1" info, works like a charm!
I realize this is a little outside of the improvements you are hoping to test but both vMix SD x64 90088 and 90091 seem to have an issue for me when saving the video delay, not sure how to describe it other than "horizontal scan out of alignment", this was never an issue with v8. The program out recording appears to be fine, just the save video delay recording is jumbled.

I also tested the Avermedia Live Gamer HD, it worked in 1080p30, but I couldn't get 720p60 to work at all, regardless of the resolution of the source (The avermedia should downscale a 1080p60 source to 720p60). 720p gave me green lines through

I also noticed that there was significantly more video lag (just under half a second I'd guess) compared to the native Avermedia application (nearly instant), and there was horizontal tearing around 1/4 down from the top of the image.

Grimble,

Can you provide a screenshot of how the image looks?

thepelell,

vMix only supports "Basic" authentication at the moment, my guess is the source you are trying to access requires
"Digest" authentication which requires a bit more work to implement.

Martin

hi martin,

thanks to fix rtsp, but still having issues:

1. after first vídeo clip, the sound pitch goes a little down.
2. after close rtsp input and add it again, doesn`t worked any more even if i close vmix x64.

vmix x86 works fine but has the pitch issue.

certainly, i know that you martin will fix it :) good job by the way.

regards,

martin

Seemingly the same issue with x32, video delay saved recording is jumbled.
Will attempt to revert back to v8

Grimble,

The AverMedia software may resize the native video format, but the ability isn't actually built into the driver.
So in vMix you will need to select the format that matches the source video format.

Sorry Martin, I was intending to provide screenshots last night, but went out for dinner instead. :)

Understood re: the format resize. I'll provide screenshots of the 1080p tearing and 720p issues.

Thanks!
Grimble.

Hi,

OK, so the 1080p tearing seems to have gone away after a reinstall of the Avermedia drivers. not sure what happened there, but never mind.

Here's a screenshot of a 720p60 source and the input set to 720p30 (I tried 720p60 as well, no difference) - https://dl.dropbox.com/u...ry%202013%2007-59-33.png

Through a test webcast I did last night, I also discovered the following:

- Adding 2 RTSP inputs, the audio from the 2nd will still be broadcast even though the audio button is off for that input - I didn't hear it on my headphones, but viewers heard it on the stream. (This is using the vMix virtual capture output) - note that setting the audio slider to 0 has the desired effect.
- If an RTSP stream disconnects and reconnects, it's video delay gets disassociated with that input, and must be re-created.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your input so far and keep the bug reports coming in.
All these issues should be resolved by the final release and there will most likely be a couple of new preview releases before then as well.

Martin

The titles have now been sorted into categories so you should see some tabs above with Title, Animated, Scoreboard etc

Another thing, the checkbox for indicating transparency is a bit annoying, if I'm adding an input in a hurry, it's easy to forget to check it, and the first I know I haven't is when my broadcast goes black! Is there no way to auto-detect the presence of the alpha channel?

Thanks!
Grimble.

thanks, hadn't noticed it, sorry (blush)
Are they sorted based on the file name (in case one adds own titles ) ?
Is there a timer title example ?

I found a bug today:

If you have a video file playing on the Active window, and turn on an overlay of the same video, then turn the overlay off, the video stops playing. Putting an overlay of the video you are playing right now on top of itself is probably not a good diea, but it can happen by accident, and when you go to turn the overlay off, the video stops playing, which is undesirable.

Hi Grimble,

Unfortunately the lagarith codec is non-standard when it comes to alpha transparency.
Other uncompressed AVI formats handle the alpha channel correctly.

In previous versions, it was just assumed the AVI could have an alpha channel regardless of format, this had the side effect of
causing some AVI files on XP to appear as black.

As a possible solution, I can save the alpha checkbox setting with the recent files list so you won't have to remember to check it each time.

Regards,

Martin

Hi again Martin!

I haven't yet tested the new v9 betas, but in v8 there is this little annoying behaviour: If file locations of images has changed, vMix gives the error, but not the chance to fix the problem right away (the chance to relocate the files).

I hope this will be fixed in v9.

Kind regards,
J. Tervo

Hi Everyone,

Another preview version of vMix 9 has been released (9.0.0.106)

* Added Start/Stop Time to Countdown Settings
* Added custom cropping to MultiView inputs
* Added prompting for missing files when opening preset
* Input recent files will also include settings such as Alpha Channel, RTSP Buffer Size etc
* Fixed Video Delay corruption issues
* Fixed a few RTSP issues including audio fader issues. (Audio could still be heard in recording while muted)
* Fixed Overlay pausing if already active when closing.
* Fixed a few DirectShow memory leaks
* Fixed Flash player showing incorrect Duration

Please test and report back any issues.

Regards,

Martin
