Hi,

I got confused here as well, I had already posted to realized that.

I guess Martin should create a folder as "Announcement" locked to Admin only for Announcement and we all can start a thread of discussion for that particular topic in the feature request or whatever category it falls.

A couple of additional features in vMix 13:

* Basic Luma Keying
* Key/Fill Input support
* New Streaming Window with quality/bitrate presets and the ability to login to streaming partners directly.

A screenshot is below, showing some of the effects possible with the Key/Fill feature.

Nice job.....can you also implement the ability to to use images as backgrounds without having to first load them into vMix?.....

Thanks..

+1 on this

I feel it will be nice to load background into vMix without making it as an input to keep the number of inputs to minimal... since you know what your backgound is, I think having a button that says background will be on whatever input we want to place the background e.g. on the Chroma Key level, I can place my background directly on the same camera input by selecting background without having to input a background and then placing the camera input on it... and same for the virtual set for the camera input as well..

Imagine I have six camera inputs + 6 virtual set inputs or background input that makes it 12 inputs in total...

Martin when you say:
" New Streaming Window with quality/bitrate presets and the ability to login to streaming partners directly."
It means we dont need FMLE anymore and we can send AAC sound?

Thanks for this new feature, Martin.

It still uses FMLE, just with a easier to manage interface.
You can send using AAC too, if you buy the FMLE plugin.

Note that licensing AAC for use in vMix will cost the same as the plugin anyway, so buying the plugin is recommended.

Sorry, that link was a private download for internal testing only.
The public preview will be released within a week or so.

If you create a title template that contains images, then these can be changed
using the Title Editor. They will appear in the left hand column like text fields do now.

Great news being able to record the source audio in Mulitcorder not just the mix.
This makes Vmix a valid multi-channel recorder with audio from embedded or camera audio sources.
EVS eat your heart out !

The headphone monitoring mix is very welcome but I hope to see an additional stereo submix output.
This would enable a submix from replay sources sent to an external mixer for foldback with no mics
that would cause feedback.

Martin, you rock, Vmix is unique, there's really nothing like it.

best
Peter

Does "Key/Fill Input support" mean that it will be possible to use something like CaspaCG to make overlays with seperate RGB and Alpha Channels?

Concerning key/fill, will that only have support for images? or will you be implementing it for video also, meaning the key/fill could possibly be animated...

An animated alpha key/fill would be great IMO if not too much more difficult to implement... Please?

You can use any input as a key to any other input as the fill.
So you could bring in key and fill as separate inputs from a capture card for example.

Synchronisation is the difficult part, so while it will work ok with live video inputs
using it with a video clip key is probably not going to work.

Martin

Thanks for the reply.

Are you planning to make synchronised live video inputs work with alpha or is that something that depends on the video card?

I know that CasparCG Key/Fill only works flawlessly with the Decklink 4K Extreme, so is there a chance that it's the same with Vmix and that specific video card?

Have you tested something like that?

It will depend to some degree on the timing of the card.
So it is likely the same results that people have with CasparCG will also apply to vMix.

Hello Martin,

Will this work with the Hybrid Multi-Monitor (link provided) or it is intended only for graphic cards supporting multiple monitors (do you have an example of a such configuration ?) ?

It is designed for a single graphics card with multiple outputs.

The reason is when using multiple graphics cards Windows has to constantly
copy images between cards and this can have a severe impact on performance.
So while it will still work, you will not get decent performance out of it.
