Hi all -

Currently using the SD version, since I am using SD analog equipment to shoot/stream.

In my monitors I get a nice crisp picture at 768x480, but the recorded version that vMix saves is very soft and fuzzy. I can't use it for making a DVD.

I have tried saving using the following formats: TS, AVI, and MP4.

I don't expect to get an HD resolution, but a nice SD resolution would be great.

Any suggestions for settings?

Switcher is a brand-new Roland, cables are RG59/60, all on BNC

Yes, but the issue is when I use the recorded file to make a DVD for the client.
A 14 Gb file @ 25Mb should look good, but it looks fuzzy when we burn it to a DVD.

File looks fine when watched on the computer.

I am using the raw file and no reencoding is happening.
Using Premiere Pro to build the DVD.

It sounds like Premiere Pro is doing some re-encoding if the DVD looks different to the recorded file.
Not much I can suggest if that is the case other than trying some different encoding settings in premiere.

Check you settings, maybe you need to set higher bitrate or try encore to make your DVDs...I use Edius, and I seldom have problems...and edius is not a real authoring program, it is an editor with a simple DVD authoring feature.

Fixed it!
The best settings in vMix for DVD production are MPEG-2, not TS or H.264

Looks great now. and so does my livestream.
