Hello,
Has anyone had any luck with the Osprey 100 4 channel capture cards? Adobe FMLE sees all 4 inputs, you can use only one at a time.
Vmix will see channel 1 or s video but not a the same time. And will see both cards without a problem, just not seeing the extra inputs.

I have two of the osprey 100 cards for our church. Would really like to find a way to get these to work. I think they would work if on the input list they had composite 1 composite 2 composite 3 / svideo.

6 channels on sd is what im needing.

Currently we film in SD 640 x 480.

Ideally I would love to use vmix as our mixer, but we need just need some other ideas on what might work with sd.

I do know the Haupauge USB Live 2 Works great on Vmix.

Thank you,
Paul Wood

Hello Paul,

The Osprey 100 is not a 4 channel but a one channel with switchable input. It's then normal taht you can use one channel at that time. If you want to get six input, you better change the card and you more than one card. The Osprey 440 can be a answer. But there is more problem with this card, facing by some user.
Don't even try the Hauppauge if you want great quality capture and if i do not mistake, this card is recognize in Vmix but give an error when you try to use the input.

Could we know how your hardware is ?

You can try this Magewell Card XI006AE-PRO

http://www.magewell.com/...ae_features.html?lang=en

You will get six SD input with it, and will recommand you to have a good CPU for a good stabilty

C.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply.

My set up is pretty nice.
Board: BIOSTAR Group TZ77B 5.0
BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. 4.6.5 04/19/2012

Windows 7 Professional (x64) Service Pack 1 (build 7601)
3.30 gigahertz Intel Core i5-3550
No memory cache
64-bit ready
Multi-core (4 total)
16 gigs of ram-15.97 available.

1tb hard drive.
Nvidia Gt8500 512mb graphic card
In Rack mount case =)

The problem is I don't have enough PCI Slots, I would like to find a PCI to USB 3.0 that could be external.
I have 2 regular pci
2 pcie
2 pci x 16 (one used for nvidia graphic card)

On my set up the ospreys/haupauge usb2 live is stable.
I have left the haupauge recording for about 10 hours, no errors. And have streamed about 3 hours with it.
Here is the link. http://www.hauppauge.com...ducts/data_usblive2.html < this one we normally use with just a laptop for portable shoots, but on the tests it was used with vmix to record/stream

Thank you,
Paul Wood
