hi Martin,
just updated to vmix 14 101.
i have had some problems lately with bm drivers. there was a major update and this also updates the chip on the shuttle and the cards, be aware.
but besides that i notice something strange. I keep a close eye on the incomming framerates, because i did a lot of testing after the bm updates. when i capture a camera i get a nice clean 40 ms reported on the capture. but as soon as i turn on external ( in this case a bm mini monitor) the incoming framerates go everywhere.
is this something to worry about. what could be the problem. when i turn off exyernal everything is neat and tight.
is there some interference ?

The negative audio delay doesn't work:
I can not give my audio inputs a negative audio delay, I can set it, but the delay is still 0.
My audio has more delay in vMix than my video. (the performance statistics shows: video 40ms delay, audio 80ms delay)
How is it possible that audio has a bigger latency than video?

Try to delay the video: Input settings (Cam) --> Advanced.

I want to minimize my video delays because I am presenting it also on a beamer.
I already got some audio sync issues.
I am just wondering why the audio has such a big delay.

Negative audio delay "is" video delay or you have a time machine ;-)
What's your audio input device?
Is it visible on the projector? The projector will add some delay so it could match perfectly with your audio.

I thought that a negative audio delay will delay all video sources at the same time.
But an extra video delay is undesirable anyway, the beamer is showing a camera image from a live narrator.
My audio source is a onboard audio device (Realtek ALC888).
A VU meter tool that is monitoring the line in shows no delay, so why does vMix have so much audio latency?
BTW. FMLE is generating an extra audio delay of 100ms, if FMLE was generating a video delay then my problem was solved. :)
It would be very nice if vMix had a video delay only for streaming (external output), that would not affect the fullscreen output.

Could be the ALC888. You can measure the latency/delay of your audio device with this tool: http://www.oblique-audio.com/free/rtlutilityIt shows ~40ms for my onboard Realtek HD, ~50ms for a Behringer UCA202 USB and ~80ms for a Focusrite Saffire 6 USB (all with 480 samples buffer). Because this measurement is for output plus input (round trip), using only one of them will cut it in half. That's ~20ms on the input of the Realtek HD and matches my Decklink Mini Recorder. In all my setups and events with different configurations and devices I never had to delay the video, always the audio. vMix only shows the delay for your video capture device. Normally you will have additional delay by the cam on that input. But that's all theory. Nothing better than the good old clap test.....

Regarding audio delay, there is a processing delay in vMix of approximately one frame.
This is why the stats can show 40ms for the video and 80ms for the audio, at the fullscreen output these will be in sync.

When recording things are different, then I have to use an audio delay of 100ms, so it seems that FMLE is the problem.
Is there a possibility to delay only the video that is streamed and not the fullscreen output that is showed on a beamer?
EDIT: problem solved: Chrome is the problem, in FF en IE the sync is OK.
Tried it on a few other computers with the same results.

Every time after starting vMix I have to press the configuration button otherwise I've got the error: recording has not been configurated (but all settings are OK).
I've send the error report.
The recording fader will only show up after pressing the configuration button.

This is by design so you can verify recording settings before starting.
You can change this behaviour in settings under the recording tab.
This is how recording has worked in all versions.

vmix version 14.0.102 ? but what has changed since 101?
hi martin just noticed the current vmix version is updated to 102. but i can not find any info about changes.
would it be a good idea to have a non comment release thread on the forum where you can post the change log for updates.
this way it is simple to have a one click overview of changes and it is more easy to deside if and when to update.
just a thought. now you have to look all through this threatvwoth comments to find the changes. this could still be the comment threat and in addition have the non comment overview of changes.

The CPU usage in V102 is much higher than in V101.
When I start vMix 14.0.0.102 without presets loaded, the CPU usage is 24% (V101 2%)

Could you provide a screenshot?
There is only a small fix in the shortcut UI in 102 which has no effect on CPU.
It sounds like maybe a setting has changed or some hardware is impacting the CPU.

I've found the problem:
I've disabled all the visual effects (except visual styles) to speed up my system.
With 'Desktop composition' enabled the CPU usage is normal again.
Why does vMix need this?
I hope this can be fixed, because when I access my stream computer remotely, vMix is using high CPU again.
(The Radmin mirror driver seems to disable 'Desktop composition')

Thanks for all the updates!
Running 14.112 the New Graphics Adapter selection box in vMix Settings only shows Intel HD graphics family on my Asus UX302 laptop. Does not matter if I start vMix using "run with" Integrated of Nvidia. (Win8.1)
Special thanks regarding the ffmpeg streamer improvments, in partucular organge indicator. We have had som disconnect errors that I have not had the time to report, guess the auto reconnect will have fixed that.
Would be really useful if the Help/documentation covered the new ffmpeg settings.
